There’s immense truth to that. ⁣
How do you think of yourself? How do you speak to yourself? The human mind is fascinating. We pride ourselves on “free thinking”, but what if we are still prisoners of our own minds?!? ⁣

If we think in our minds that we aren’t good enough, smart enough, fast enough, pretty enough, *insert adjective here* enough, then guess what? We’re right. No amount of outside validation will everrrrr be able to compete with what we think of ourselves. ⁣

But imagine if we were to change that language. Imagine if we spoke to ourselves the way that we speak to our friends, our family, even our pets. ⁣

Now…Imagine if you also whispered that to yourself in the mirror every morning. Imagine if when you saw your reflection, you started saying “I love you” instead of scrutinizing your every part and highlighting the things you don’t love. What if you flipped the script and started highlighting the thing that you DO love?!? Can you imagine how differently you might view the world if you started speaking to yourself with kindness?!? Kindness breeds kindness. ⁣

It takes an average of 30 days to change a habit. So for the next 30 days, practice the type of love and empathy on yourself that you show to others. Every morning, say some positive self-affirmations out loud. Start with 1 really powerful one. “𝐈 𝐀𝐌 𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇” Carry that through for all 30 days, and watch how your mind begins to shift from one of self doubt, to one of self love. ⁣
